What the Washer Fluid Level Light Means
The washer fluid light on a your car simply means the windscreen washer reservoir is low. It is purely informational — top up the fluid and it clears.
Common Causes
- Low washer fluid (normal)
- Faulty reservoir level sensor
- Disconnected sensor wiring
- Debris around the float
How to Fix It
- Top up the washer reservoir with screen wash
- Run the washers to confirm operation
- If still lit, inspect the level sensor and connector
- Clean debris from around the float
- Replace the sensor if it reads incorrectly
